The Roughwood Gold Plum tomato is a remarkable variety that was created by crossing the San Marzano and Brandywine varieties. This tomato combines the best of both worlds: a balanced sweet-acidic ratio , an intense aroma and firm flesh.

This robust tomato variety is characterized by its drought resistance , which makes it particularly suitable for cultivation in summers with little rain . It can develop optimally outdoors with sufficient air circulation, but in rainy summers the use of a roof is recommended to protect the fruits from too much to protect against moisture.

The Roughwood Gold Plum needs a little more space than other bush tomato varieties and should be well tied up as the clusters with the heavy fruits need support . Despite the robust nature of the plant, no thinning is required, which makes it easier to care for.

The fruits of this variety ripen quite late, but can be stored well and offer long-lasting enjoyment.

The Roughwood Gold Plum is an excellent choice for gardeners who value quality, taste and hardiness.
